Escape Velocity - New EP available on BANDCAMP

I have BIG news. ESCAPE VELOCITY has been released on Bandcamp. You can listen free or purchase for $10 AUD (approx $7 USD). The support would be appreciated either way.  From the liner notes:

"We are proud to say this recording was made the way musicians have been doing it for decades. All guitars were recorded using microphones and physical amps. No modelling or profiles. Bass and chapman stick were recorded via direct input to various hardware mic preamps and compressors. Drums are all ‘as recorded’ with minimal edits. Escape Velocity is music made by humans for humans."

Adding to this, a few thoughts: doing things properly costs more money. It takes longer and requires deeper effort and capability. Getting music done right demands the participation of individuals with unique talents, who come together and agree on a shared vision.

Most importantly, doing it right sounds better and is worth every drop of blood, sweat and tears spent. I guarantee you that those three elements have been spilt from conception to birth for this collection of songs.  As human beings the act of creation binds us, and the art of listening creates understanding. To escape the gravity that holds you in place requires courage and relentless commitment. It requires Escape Velocity.

Thanks Evan Harris, Rob Brens, Zoltan Csörsz Jr., David Carr, Joseph Carra and Chris Themelco for audio performance and engineering. Thanks Rob Pselodux for the graphic art work and Cameron Stephen for the sublime photograph. I can not think of a better team to have brought this to fruition. Thank you, and I wish you all the most beautiful happiness. There is more to come.
